The royal author, Tom Quinn, said Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, was reduced to tears when her lifestyle brand’s new product was widely mocked for being expensive and nothing special.
Meghan Markle disappointed with the reception of her lifestyle brand’s product.
The Duchess of Sussex felt disappointed with the reception she received for her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard’s new product, launched in March. At the time, she had teased her fans with vague details about her new business. Initially, all her fans were excited, but all that soon fizzled out after launching her lifestyle brand’s first product, strawberry jam. According to a royal expert, Meghan Markle’s jam was “widely mocked,” which left her disappointed and in tears.
“Expensive and nothing special.”
Her brand, inspired by her life in Montecito, would sell “tableware, drinkware including decanters, kitchen linens and edible treats such as jellies, jams, marmalade and spreads.” However, the anticipation died down as months went by without any further update. Tom Quinn, while speaking to Mirror, said, “The one fly in the ointment is Meghan’s new internet brand, America Riviera Orchard.” The royal author revealed that her brand’s product was widely mocked for being “expensive and nothing special.”
Quinn added, “She has reached the point where she thinks that anything and everything she does will be unfairly criticized. Like her husband, she feels that people are unfairly picking on her—she cannot understand why people don’t admire her work. She is especially sensitive about any criticism of her luxurious lifestyle in the US – from her point of view, this is something to be admired, not criticized.”
