Two passengers who were to take the ill-fated flight in Brazil, which crashed, escaped death due to a series of fortunate travel mix-ups. The two passengers were Adriano Assis and Jose Felipe, who were booked on the doomed flight VoePass Flight 2283. They said that sheer luck played a crucial role in saving their lives, as per a report on GloboNews.

Two passengers narrowly escaped death from the Brazil plane crash.

After finishing a late shift at the hospital, Adriano Assis arrived at the airport around 9.40 am for his 11.56 am flight from Cascavel to Guarulhos. He believed he was flying with LATAM Airlines and had no agents at the LATAM counter, so he decided to kill time with a coffee. He realized he was booked with VoePass when he saw no sign of flight 2238 on the departure board. He rushed to the VoePass gate but was told he was already boarding late. He said, “I argued with him and stuff, and that was it, and he saved my life, man.” The second passenger, Jose Felipe, was part of a group of ten who mistakenly thought they were flying with LATAM. Despite persuading an agent, they were denied access to boarding, a decision that saved their lives. He said, “Thank God we didn’t get on that plane.”
