Noëlla Coursaris Musunka is a Congolese philanthropist, model, and entrepreneur who has dedicated her life to empowering young girls and fostering sustainable development in Africa. As the founder of Malaika, a nonprofit organization focused on providing free education and community-driven development in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Noëlla has become a global advocate for education, gender equality, and social change.

Born in Lubumbashi, DRC, Noëlla lost her father at a young age and was sent to live with relatives in Europe due to her family’s financial struggles. Growing up in Switzerland and later the United Kingdom, she pursued an education and began a successful career as an international model. Despite her success, Noëlla never lost sight of her roots and felt compelled to give back to her community.

In 2007, she founded Malaika (which means “angel” in Swahili) with the mission to empower communities through education and health programs. Located in Kalebuka, DRC, Malaika operates a school that provides free, high-quality education to over 400 girls. The curriculum includes STEM subjects, arts, and sports, aiming to equip the students with skills to become leaders in their communities. Additionally, Malaika has implemented clean water projects and health programs that benefit thousands of residents in the surrounding area.

Noëlla’s work has garnered international recognition, including accolades from organizations like Forbes and BBC. She has been invited to speak at prestigious global forums, including the United Nations and the World Economic Forum, to advocate for education and sustainable development in Africa.

Beyond her philanthropic work, Noëlla uses her platform as a model to amplify the voices of marginalized communities and promote African culture and talent. Her efforts have made her a role model for young women around the world, proving that beauty and purpose can coexist to drive meaningful impact.

Through Malaika, Noëlla Coursaris Musunka continues to transform lives and build a brighter future for the DRC, leaving a legacy of hope, empowerment, and sustainable progress.
