George Clooney expresses frustration with Quentin Tarantino’s comments of not considering him a star.

George Clooney’s frustration was evident when Quentin Tarantino commented on him as “not a movie star.” The director downplayed Clooney’s status as a movie star, which did not go down well with the American actor and filmmaker, who expressed severe irritation with the filmmaker Tarantino after he mouthed a few harsh comments on his career.

George Clooney (63), an icon in the entertainment world and top-notch actor and filmmaker, was visibly irked by filmmaker Quentin Tarantino’s remarks that Clooney is “not a movie star.”

Quentin Tarantino recently, in an interview, spoke on Clooney’s movie star status.

In a recent interview, filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, with whom Clooney has collaborated once on the film From Dusk ’til Dawn, downplayed Clooney’s status as a movie star in Hollywood. Speaking for the September issue of GQ Magazine in a joint interview with Brad Pitt, George Clooney said, “Quentin said some sh*t about me recently, so I’m a little irritated by him.” He added, “He did some interview where he was naming movie stars, and he was talking about [Brad Pitt] and somebody else, and then this guy goes, ‘Well, what about George?’ He goes, ‘He’s not a movie star.’”

George Clooney expressed his disbelief at Tarantino’s suggestion that he hadn’t made a significant film since 2000. Talking about it, Clooney said, “And then he literally said something like, ‘Name me a movie since the millennium.’ And I was like, since the millennium? That’s kind of my whole f**ing career. So now I’m like, all right, dude, f**k off. I don’t mind giving him sh*t.”

Over the past two decades, George Clooney has had a prolific career, including two Academy Awards, one for Best Supporting Actor in Syriana in 2005 and another for his role as a producer on Argo. He has also starred in various critically acclaimed films. Speaking to GQ, he said he has written a Broadway play, and this is an opportunity to do something he hasn’t done before.
