Dr. Faustino Junior is a name gaining increasing recognition in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. A lawyer by training, specializing in Digital Law, Corporate Tax Law, and Constitutional Law, he is a visionary investor in the educational technology sector, leading major educational groups in Brazil since 2007. As a brilliant jurist, he stands out as one of Brazil’s foremost representatives shaping the future of technology in the country. He has revolutionized higher education, especially in postgraduate studies, being a pioneer in distance learning and corporate education for the “triple A” audience. Additionally, Faustino is the CEO and founder of FGMED, the largest EdTech for Continuing Medical Education in Brazil. He is also the founder of FG Investments, an investment platform within his Business Hub, and the COO of Boss Digital, an influencer agency active in digital marketing and affiliate marketing.
From an early age, Dr. Faustino demonstrated an exceptional talent for understanding and taking on innovative roles. Graduating with honors in Law from PUCRS, he quickly excelled in Digital, Tax, and Constitutional Law, areas that require not only a sharp mind but also a unique ability to anticipate and adapt to changes. His career in the legal and academic fields has not only reflected his brilliance but also his tireless dedication to protecting citizens’ rights in the digital environment.
After his doctoral studies, focusing on Constitutional Law and the Philosophy of Law, he was also one of the pioneers in Medical Law. His extensive legal and academic experience in the medical field culminated almost a decade later in the creation of MEDFLIX, the largest streaming and medical education platform in Latin America, currently expanding digitally to the North American market. As founder, he revolutionized the international market medical education.
But Dr. Faustino Junior’s story doesn’t end in courts and classrooms. He looked beyond the legal horizon and delved into the world of technology, firmly believing that innovation is the key to progress. As an investor in the educational technology sector for over 15 years, and now in compliance education for large companies, both as an investor and advisor, he has been a significant change agent, supporting startups that promise to transform not only the market but people’s lives.
Recently, Dr. Faustino Junior participated in BEYOND Expo 2024 in China, one of the world’s largest innovation and technology events. In an exclusive interview, he shared his impressions of the event, discussing opportunities and challenges for the technology sector in Latin America.
“This is one of the world’s largest innovation and technology events, and the presence of the Brazilian delegation was essential because most large Asian corporations, especially Chinese ones, are very interested in knowing and expanding their activities and trade with Latin America, especially Brazil, which is seen as an extremely promising market for international trade expansion, particularly as it is once again positioned as the eighth-largest economy in the world.”
At the event, which also featured celebrities like David Beckham, Dr. Faustino had the opportunity to meet with business leaders from around the world. “It was an enriching experience. Being surrounded by brilliant minds and sharing ideas with CEOs from different economic segments gave us a unique perspective on the future of technology and innovation,” he commented.
In his speech at BEYOND Expo, Dr. Faustino highlighted two promising sectors in Latin America: the online betting market and online education for medical and corporate education. “These markets have shown impressive numbers and offer exceptional opportunities for investors.”
He also addressed the challenges Latin America faces in becoming a global innovation hub. “High tax burdens and lack of investment in infrastructure are major obstacles. We need policies that encourage technological development and attract international investments. The success of Asian countries like China is an example of how tax reductions and infrastructure investments can transform a market.”
For tech startups just starting, Dr. Faustino offers valuable advice: “Don’t rush to go public without a solid operation. Invest in tax planning, recruit talent strategically, and look to Asia as a promising consumer market. International events are essential for building bridges and finding new expansion opportunities.”
Recently, as a founding member of the American Associates Alliance, he organized the first and largest investment program for technology investors, the “Master in International Investments,” aimed at fostering networking among high-standard entrepreneurs.
