He wishes to inspire lives with “coffee, business, entrepreneurship, books,” and more.
The world has seen the rise of several incredible entrepreneurs from across sectors who have made a unique niche for themselves, thus creating their desired success stories. Ever wondered what could have been the factors leading these founders, CEOs and other high-performing professionals reach the forefront of their industries? Well, nothing really beats the powerful combination of passion and resilience, says Founder Brandon Ivan Peña, who, though a coffeepreneur, can still be never boxed into just one definition, for this dynamic guy is all about multiple skills and talents.
As a coffeepreneur, he has been transforming communities as the Founder and CEO of 787 Coffee, thriving on their fresh produce from farm to the cup, ensuring to bring the Puerto Rican coffee culture to the world. Standing at the helm of 787 Coffee, he has built a thriving business and transformed it into a vehicle for cultural pride, personal connection, and community empowerment. Building everything from scratch, he has come a long way in the world of entrepreneurship and has gone beyond in making his mark. Today, at the forefront of a coffee empire, he inspires the up-and-coming of how passion, resilience, a people-centered approach, and innovation can lead them to their desired and lasting success.
He believes his passion for Puerto Rican coffee has brought him thus far. His story began with a deep love for the same for its rich and bold flavors. This passion led him to start 787 Coffee to share the authentic taste of Puerto Rico with the world. He named the company on Puerto Rico’s area code, reflecting his commitment to his roots and his desire to let a broader audience know the island’s coffee culture. His dedication led him to start his own coffee farm, Hacienda Iluminada in Maricao, Puerto Rico. Since then, he has been overseeing every aspect of the production process, from crop to roast to ensuring that each cup of 787 Coffee serves the purest expression of authentic Puerto Rican flavor.
“I fell in love with Puerto Rican coffee and wished to share this passion with the world, which has made me a coffeepreneur today. Also, I focus on having a hands-on approach, guaranteeing customers to receive a truly farm-fresh experience with every sip,” says Peña. Also, he points out that his vision for 787 Coffee extends beyond the product itself, saying, “At the very core is my dedication to the communities that support it. My priority is to create fair wages for farmers, provide the local youth with enough opportunities, and strengthen the Puerto Rican economy.”
Peña says that responsibility and community are central to everything he does, motivating him to do better every day. Through social media programs and partnerships with local organizations, while focusing on sustainable practices, he has helped 787 Coffee grow beyond being just a brand, growing as a movement known for uplifting all those whose lives it touches.
Beyond making a difference with his coffee business, Brandon Ivan Peña also impacts the lives of others as a speaker, business coach, and author. As a business coach and mentor, with his 1:1 mentorship, he helps people create a life they constantly desired and deserve. His brandON’s podcast is about spreading positive thoughts, experiences, interviews with life and business tips. Also, as a best-selling author of “Creative Fucker Book,” he provides quotes to “make sh*t happen.” In the book, he explores the world of coffee culture through the lenses of art, motivation, and humans of the communities that his coffee shops serve. It is a coffee table book filled with motivational quotes that can inspire people worldwide to become their best versions.
