Algerian boxer Imane Khelif has filed a legal complaint against online harassment and trolling amid gender controversy. She has filed a legal complaint against those who spread hate in the comments, claiming she was not a woman after her win at the Olympics. Nabil Boudi, Khelif’s lawyer, stated that she filed a formal complaint against online harassment. Khelif said, “All that is being said about me on social media is immoral. I want to change the minds of people around the world.”
“Hope not to see similar attacks in the future.”
Imane Khelif said that this has been her dream for eight years, and now she is the Olympic champion and a gold medalist. When asked about the gender scrutiny, she said, “That also gives my success a special taste because of those attacks. We are in the Olympics to perform as athletes, and I hope we will not see any similar attacks in future Olympics.”
Imane Khelif, who was raised as a female since childhood before winning a gold medal, said, “I’m fully qualified to take part in this competition. I’m a woman like any other woman. I was born as a woman, I live as a woman, and I am qualified.”
