Elon Musk has been ditched by his employees as they donate more to Trump’s rival Harris.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla Motors and owner of SpaceX and X, has endorsed Donald Trump in the race for the White House, but it seems his employees at his collection of companies have ditched him, as they are largely donating to Kamala Harris. The billionaire has endorsed Trump in the race to become the next president, but workers at Tesla have contributed $42,824 to Harris’ presidential campaign versus $24,840 to Trump’s campaign.

Tesla workers contribute more to Harris’s campaign.

According to OpenSecrets, a nonpartisan nonprofit that tracks U.S. campaign contributions and lobbying data, workers at Tesla have ditched their boss and contributed $42,824 to Harris’s presidential campaign versus $24,840 to Trump’s campaign. SpaceX’s employees have donated $34,526 to Harris versus $7,652 to Trump, while employees at his social media platform X have donated $13,213 to Harris versus less than $500 to Trump.

More data was revealed on donations.

The OpenSecrets data includes donations from company employees, owners, and their individuals’ immediate family members. Campaign finance laws prohibit companies from donating to federal campaigns. Many of Elon Musk’s employees are based in California, a Democratic stronghold, as per CEO Ross Gerber of Gerber Kawasaki Wealth and Investment Management, a Tesla shareholder. He is also an investor in X.

Elon Musk said in July that he would move SpaceX and X headquarters to Texas from California because of a California gender-identity law he called the “last straw.” Gerber, however, said that this move would mean “losing out on a lot of potential talent” in California.

On Wednesday, hand-held radios used by Lebanese armed group Hezbollah were detonated.
