The latest Q&A feature by Gmail incorporates Gemini directly into the box, using AI to analyze, find, and draft emails instantly. The same feature can also be used to ask definite questions, like finding unread emails from a specific person or searching for an email with specific information. However, the feature is limited to Google WorkSpace customers with Gemini business, enterprise, education, and education premium subscriptions. It is also available for users with Google One AI Premium subscriptions. Also, it is only available in English. Users can ask it to summarize emails about a topic and search the web for an answer to an email-related specific query.
Users can log into their Google WorkSpace account and update the Gmail app to the latest version. The IT admin can enable the same feature for enterprise users by turning on the default personalization setting. In its official blog, Google stated that it is currently rolling out and might take up to 15 days to reach all users. After enabling it, users can access it across their devices. If the account has Gmail Q&A access, powered by Gemini, a Gemini logo can be found at the top right corner on both Android and iOS devices. Clicking on it will open a Q&A window, allowing users to ask questions about the emails in their inbox and draft a new mail.
