Weird incidents have happened in two different countries in the last couple of days. The latest such incident is the emergence of a giant sinkhole that swallowed an SUV in Seoul. The giant sinkhole appeared in the middle of the road in the South Korean capital’s Seodaemun district. A similar incident took place a couple of days earlier when an Indian tourist disappeared in a sinkhole in Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur.

On Thursday, a sinkhole opened up and swallowed a car, which had two people, injuring them in South Korea’s capital city of Seoul. As per the local media reports, a sinkhole suddenly emerged in the middle of a road in Seodaemun district, Seoul, and swallowed the SUV. The Korea Herald reported that the white SUV “rolled over sideways, crashing into the sinkhole.” It had two passengers, a woman in her 70s and a man in his 80s; both of them were sent to the hospital. The situation in Seoul is under close watch as efforts continue to understand what led to his dangerous incident and also manage future risks. Authorities are still looking out for what caused it.

Recently, an Indian woman, 48, a tourist in Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur, fell into a sinkhole. She was walking on a sidewalk when it suddenly collapsed by 26 feet, causing her to fall. A search-and-rescue operation has been underway since the incident. The CCTV footage of the disappearance of the woman since then has been widely shared. The video shows that after the woman falls into the giant sinkhole, a man seen near the sinkhole also loses his balance but manages to save himself from falling.
