As reported on CT Insider, citing his tour manager, the American rapper, hype man, and radio personality died at the age of 53 on Friday night after collapsing amidst his performance at a free event in Connecticut.

American rapper Isaac Freeman III, a New York-born artist, was popularly known in rap and hip-hop as Fatman Scoop. He was performing at the “Green & Gold Party” in Hamden when things went south, and he needed medical attention.

Social media footage of the rapper Fatman Scoop was widely surfaced on the internet, where the famous rapper was seen shirtless, energizing the throng at Town Center Park before collapsing and disappearing from the view of the audience. The video footage has been obtained from several outlets, where people could be seen conducting chest compressions behind the DJ set’s screen.
Fatman Scoop’s concert was to begin at 7.15 pm, but as reported on TMZ, authorities were summoned to the park at 8.33 pm. He was then carried off the stage and taken to a nearby hospital on a stretcher. Scoop topped the charts two decades ago in Europe with Be Faithful and later contributed to various hits by other artists. In an Instagram post, his family wrote, “The world lost a radiant soul, a beacon on stage and in life,” adding that they cherished him as “the laughter in our lives, a constant source of support, unwavering strength and courage.”
