A wealthy Chinese woman takes revenge on the staff of a Louis Vuitton store.
The incident happened in a Louis Vuitton store in Chongqing, China, where a wealthy Chinese woman made the store staff count Rs. 68.5 lakh in cash and then walked away buying nothing from them. She exacted revenge on them, for they had behaved quite indifferently to her in June, which had insulted her. Their dismissive treatment led her to recently take her revenge in a unique way. Netizens have been hailing her “act of vengeance.”
What was the incident that occurred at China’s Louis Vuitton store?
The woman, who goes by the alias Xiaomayouren on the Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu, recounted her bitter experience at the Louis Vuitton store in the StarLight Place shopping center. In June, she entered the store hoping to find the latest fashion offerings, but instead, the staff insulted her with their dismissive treatment and showed indifference. Despite carrying a luxury Hermes handbag, the staff ignored her requests, pointed her toward outdated seasonal garments, and even responded to her queries with eye-rolls and impatience. She even complained to the brand’s headquarters but received no response.
Taking her revenge.
After not receiving any response, she waited two months before returning to the store with a bag containing 600,000 Yuan (approximately Rs. 68.50 lakh) in cash, accompanied by her personal assistant and a friend. They tried on several things, showing interest in buying them. After the store’s staff spent two hours painstakingly counting the cash, the woman said to the sales assistant before taking back the money and walking out, “We don’t want to buy now. We are leaving.”
Netizens showered love on her for taking great revenge on the store’s staff. One user said, “This ending is so delightful. I have always wondered why these shop assistants are so arrogant.” Another said, “They sell luxury goods, but it does not mean they are luxury goods themselves.”
