Recently, on X, formerly Twitter, owned by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Shark Tank star Mark Cuban and Musk exchanged jabs. It so happened that Mark Cuban accused Elon Musk of manipulating the algorithm of his platform X, alleging that the Tesla CEO displayed information as per his personal preferences to influence the election. However, Elon Musk hit it back at Cuban and responded with a “poop” emoji.

In an interview with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, Mark Cuban, an American businessman, investor, and television personality known for his presence on Shark Tank, spoke about Musk. He told Stewart that Musk has modified the algorithms to fit his personal taste after acquiring the social media platform Twitter, now X. He remarked, “When you go on X, you see a preponderance of right-leaning people.” Stewart retorted that he frequently encounters such profiles on X, even though he has “never clicked on any of these f****** things.”
Cuban went on accusing Musk.
He remarked on the show how algorithms operate, adding that writing an algorithm gives a person the ability to specify the parameters of “what you want to see happen.” Cuban also claimed that Musk did such a thing, and as per him, only 20% of American adults use X.
Musk hits it back on Cuban’s remarks.
Reposting a video of Cuban’s remarks on X by the user @WesternLensman, the Tesla CEO said, “That was hilarious (laughing emoji). Unlike the other platforms, our algorithm is open source!” He added, “And if you interact and argue with ‘right wing’ accounts, which Cuban does a lot, the algorithm will assume that’s what you *want* to do and give you more of it lmao.”
Elon Musk reacted to the video’s poster, which read, “So X must be attacked and destroyed.” Musk responded, “Exactly,” and added, “Mark Cuban is a giant [poop emoji] in human form.” After a few minutes, Mark Cuban responded to Musk’s remarks, and instead of saying anything, he replied with three heart-hand emojis.
