President Joe Biden was seen joking with social media influencers at the first-ever White House Creator Economy Conference and made light of his final few months in the White House, saying he’s “looking for a job.”

It was time for the social media influencers to get the golden opportunity to descend on the White House and meet President Joe Biden. On Wednesday, they got some royal treatment at the White House as Biden appreciated their abilities and talents to garner millions of loyal followers on their social media handles. The White House was a royal host to over 100 influencers across various social media platforms, aka content creators.

The White Host with President Joe Biden played royal host to more than 100 social media influencers and content creators across a wide range of social media platforms, from makeup artists and chefs to medical students and fitness gurus, to discuss issues including mental health, abuse of AI, and pay equity.

“You’re the future.”

Joe Biden spoke to the influencers at the White House, who were gathered in the Indian Treaty Room, and said, “The fact is, you are the future. You’re the source of the news. You are the new possibilities. You are the new breakthrough in how we communicate.” Adding in with laughter, he said, “And that’s why I invited you to the White House; I’m looking for a job.”

At the royal meet were influencers Chef My Nguyen, medical student Joel Bervell, makeup artist Jackie Aina, and others. These influencers have millions of followers. The White House also recognizes the youth vote, a crucial constituency for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and Republican nominee Donald Trump in the November election. The meet showcased the importance and weight of the content creator economy, roughly valued at $250 billion worldwide.
