Social media platform X (formerly Twitter), owned by Billionaire Entrepreneur Elon Musk, saw a massive global outage on Saturday. It has been down for thousands of users globally, with over 7,743 outage reports from the US alone. Fewer complaints came from India, and users have reported that issues have erupted with both app and website functionality.

Elon Musk-owned X has been down for users worldwide, as reports came in on Saturday. According to the outage tracking website Downdetector, there were more than 7,743 reports of outages in the US and counting. The website, which tracks service disruption, collates status reports from several sources, including users. However, the outage hasn’t affected more users in India. The Indian version of Downdetector showed only 260 complaints so far.

Many users worldwide, especially from the US, have complained about the disruptions they are facing with the micro-blogging site. 80% of users in India reported an issue with the website, while 11% complained about issues with logging into their X accounts. Meanwhile, another 90% of users claimed they were facing disruptions while using the X app. In the US, 48% of X users faced trouble while visiting the platform’s website, while 52% reported being unable to access the app. Only 2% of users in the country faced problems logging into their accounts.
X has also been down in other countries, like Australia, where over 300 users reported facing an issue, while more than 600 Canadian users complained about the outage. In the UK, over 1,500 X users complained about disruptions, and 115 users reported about the outage in the UAE.
